Data We Collect

• Shopify store information (shop domain, owner name, email address)
• Product data from your Shopify store (titles, descriptions, barcodes, metafields)
• Enrichment results (nutrition data, ingredient lists, allergen information)
• Billing and usage records
• App usage logs

How We Use Your Data

We use collected data solely to provide the DataMintify service: looking up food data for your products, updating your Shopify product descriptions, calculating your Store Health Score, and processing billing through Shopify.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your product data for any purpose other than providing the service you have subscribed to.

Third-Party Services

DataMintify uses the following third-party services to deliver the enrichment pipeline: FatSecret Platform API, Edamam Food Database API, USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, Barcode Lookup, and OpenAI API. Product barcodes and limited product information are sent to these services as part of the enrichment process.

Data Retention and Deletion

When you uninstall DataMintify from your Shopify store, all store-scoped data (product processing records, billing history, store settings) is immediately and permanently deleted via a GDPR-compliant deletion webhook. Anonymised enrichment cache records (barcode to nutrition data mappings) are retained to improve the service for other users.
